What shall I do to please the Lord

• if you please the Lord the Lord will be faithful onto you
• It’s like your parents, if you obey them it is well with you
  • So far as you’re in your mothers womb you cannot do anything
    • When you’re in her womb you kick the mother

John 8:29 29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him

• if you do something that please Him we will never leave you alone
  • Don’t please yourself
  • Don’t please your spouse
  • More importantly please the Lord
    • Because we want the favor of God this year, we want the grace of God this year

David is a man after God’s own heart 

• David was hunted by Saul but he honored Gods word by not killing Saul
  • Pray for your enemies
  • God loves those people who spears their enemies

2 Thessalonians 1:6

6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

Hebrews 11:6

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him

• how can we serve God diligently?
  • Constantly, whether good or bad, snow or shine or freezing temperature

Let it enter your heart that God is with you 

Hebrew 10:38

38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him

• live by faith
  • I’m flying to Atlanta for the weekend and will be back on Monday (this is faith)

We’re connected to God not only by our spirit but my our soul [emotions]

If you don’t love God you cannot please Him 

• how to love God?
  • For deserve mercy(love) and not sacrifice and the knowledge of God more than burnt offering
  • Who is my mother and my brother, my mother and my brother is those that do the will of God
  • Love your enemy, love your neighbor, love cover a multitude of sins, be quite, soul[emotions] it’s a blessing to express
  • Deuteronomy 10:12 12 And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul

Honor and trust the Lord 

• what is honor?
  • Reverence
  • Highly esteem
• How do you honor the Lord?
  • Honor Him that He is good
  • Proverbs 8:31- those that hate me love death
    • Philippians suffer for God
    • You were their friend and now you come against them
      • Don’t magnify the problem

1 John 5:3 Obey Him 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous

How do we obey the Lord?

• Sometimes God talk to us we don’t hear Him
• If you hear a voice compare it with the scripture
• Psalm 47:11 11 The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

God want you to fulfill His purpose 

• If God has called you it is because God has something for you to do

Walking in the Spirit 

• behavior
• Galatians 5:22-25 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another
• Be at peace with everybody, be gentle, a gentleman, patient, always have joy in the Lord(sacrifice of Joy), long suffering [Joshua sat down and thought thought thought thought thought about what he considered secretly, Mary being pregnant] while you’re in long suffering you are also praying
  • Long suffering is there for the love increase
    • Don’t make any hasty decisions
    • Let people come to and smile
    • Make people see that you’re a lovely person
  • Self-Control, don’t let your emotions control you, if somebody get you mad don’t reply right there

Keeping Gods word in your mouth 

• keep Gods word in you
• Apply the word
  • If Gods word is in you you won’t have it in you to do evil to others
